Coach says

Silence means you're on pace.

Pace Coach keeps quiet while you hold your goal pace. It speaks once you have drifted for 20 seconds, tells you which way and by how much, and confirms when you are back. Every kilometre you get your split.

This is everything you would hear on a 5K with a 30 minute goal.

  1. Target pace, 6 minutes per kilometer.
  2. Kilometer 1, 6 minutes 3.
  3. Pick it up. 6 minutes 22.
  4. On pace.
  5. Kilometer 2, 6 minutes 3.
  6. Kilometer 3, 6 minutes.
  7. Ease up. 5 minutes 36.
  8. On pace.
  9. Kilometer 4, 5 minutes 59.
  10. Run complete.

Questions

Can I listen to music at the same time?

Yes. Your music keeps playing and is turned down briefly while the coach speaks.

Does it work with the screen locked?

Yes. Lock your phone and put it in your pocket. Tracking and coaching carry on.

Do I need headphones?

They work best, but the coach also speaks through the phone speaker.

How accurate is the pace?

Pace comes from your phone's GPS, so it can vary with tall buildings, tree cover, weather and where you carry your phone. Short dips are ignored, which is why the coach waits 20 seconds before speaking.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. It is on the way.
