Common questions

What is free, and what needs Pro?

Running is free: the goal calculator, live audio pace alerts, auto-pause, kilometre splits, and your five most recent runs. Pace Coach Pro adds the AI recap after your first three recaps, and your full run history beyond those five runs.

I paid, but Pro is not showing up

Tap Unlock with Pro on the recap or History screen and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account that bought them, so make sure you are signed in to that account on this device.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside Pace Coach. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Pace Coach. You can also go straight to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the period ends.

The coach barely says anything

That is deliberate. Silence means you are on pace. Pace Coach speaks when you have drifted more than ten seconds per kilometre off target for twenty seconds, when each kilometre completes, and when you come back on pace. If you hear nothing at all, check that your phone is not muted and that another app is not holding the audio.

My pace or distance looks wrong

Pace comes from GPS, which needs a clear view of the sky. Under trees, between tall buildings, or indoors on a treadmill the readings drift. Give the app a few seconds outdoors before you start, and allow location access Always so tracking continues when your screen is off or the phone is in your pocket.

Where does my run data go?

Your run history and GPS coordinates stay on your device. Summarised numbers, such as distance and pace, are sent for usage analytics and to write your AI recap, never your coordinates or any contact details. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Deleting the app removes my runs

Run history is stored on the device only, so uninstalling Pace Coach deletes it permanently. There is no account and no cloud backup to restore it from.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Pace Coach is iPhone only for now.
